Sundays with the poets :: At home in Ireland

06 October 2013

Pilgrims smiled at one another:
How good God was,
How much a loving Father!
How wonderful the punishing stones were!
Another hour and the boats will sail
Into the port of Time.
Are you not glad you came?

This October I'm writing every day on being at home in Ireland. But on Sundays I'll be sharing the words of others... with pictures that, of course, will never do their words justice.

    1. Thanks Dawn! I found this excerpt in a book on Irish pilgrimages... am sure there's a lot more in there to discover!

    1. Thanks, Janis! Is it OK that it's poetry and not scripture? Sunday Stillness is a brilliant idea...

  3. HOW NEAT!! Loved this. Made me fill my heart with a strong desire to go there. [My husband and I have wanted to do that for YEARS, but life interferes.] But this was a neat treat.

    Thank you much.
